Hi, I’m James Prime, an IT support engineer living in Auckland. I’ve always enjoyed figuring out how things work; when I was 14 I built my first computer from parts, and that curiosity eventually took me to a Computer and Information Sciences degree at AUT. These days I look after Microsoft systems (Entra ID, Intune, Teams, etc) for a large recruitment group, and I spend a fair bit of my time bringing useful AI tools into everyday workflows.
Outside of work I enjoy taking photos of beautiful landscapes or cities, sometimes even animals, which you can see some of my favourite photos i've taken here. In the evenings I’m usually gaming; I’ve been playing RuneScape on and off since school, still dip into World of Warcraft when a new patch drops, and I’ll happily lose a weekend in Minecraft or Icarus or doing a race weekend in iRacing. A couple of years ago I finally made my first of two trips to the US to see the Saturn V and Space Shuttle displays, then headed down to Starbase to stand next to Starship. I'm still waiting for my first live rocket launch, but I’m not giving up on that yet.
